Seemed to me like a good day for voting . . .

So that's what I did!

I voted for "THAT one" marked below . . .

and don't worry, I can check on-line to be sure my vote got counted! I just didn't want to take the chance of the polls being overly crowded next Tuesday.
NOW FOR 1 RAK and a CONTEST . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Who made this journal?????

A friend of mine (Sharon) at work went to an arts and crafts event last weekend in Claremont, CA at
The Village . Sharon bought the beautiful, handmade journal that you see above and RAKed it to me. I just LOVE the handmade watercolored papers used for the front and back covers!
The first person that can identify the journal maker, will receive up to a 15.00 item (including s&h), of their choice, from my
Etsy shop. The contest will end on Saturday at midnight, and a winner chosen (again by the teenage man-child) on Sunday morning, November 2nd.
Visit my etsy shop, then come back and leave a comment on this post to tell me what you would like if you win, and (of course) who made the journal. That's it!
Here are some clues to help you along: First name starts with an "S", 1969, resides in Southern California, May 7th, October 1st
GOOD LUCK!
****************************************************Another RAK . . .

Earlier this week I was (again) RAKed (Random Act of Kindness) with the UTEE gargoyle you see above.
I was visiting Kim Parkinson at
Just Kim, and stumbled upon a post that had the cutest gargoyles made out of UTEE. I'm a big fan of the melting pot and UTEE (taught a lot of those classes!), so of course when I saw Kim's creations, I had to e-mail her for additional information.
Well, to make a long story short, the next thing I know, my own personal gargoyle was sitting in my mailbox!
Thank you sooooooo much Kim. I haven't named my gargoyle yet, but he/she is watching over me as I sleep at night.
Post Script: Kim is an artist and instructor that lives south of Boston, MA and teaches some really cool stuff. If you live in and around that area, you should definitely check out her blog for upcoming classes! And 1 Award %
Also this week, I received a new blog award from a very talented, on-line friend, Gaby Bee from
Colorful Adventures. As the recipient of this award, I have to name 6 things that make me happy. Here are 6:
- Talking arts & crafts with a friend over a triple Mexican Mocha Coffee
- When the creativity just flows
- Shopping!
- A clean home
- Attending a good convention or workshop
- Random Acts of Kindness
I would like to give this award to EVERYONE on my blog list! All of you are so talented and worthy of this award!
