Mixed Media Monday

Ok, this is probably cheating, but when I read that the Mixed Media Monday theme for this week was going to be TIME OF DAY, this record album/cd clock I made awhile back came to mind.

For the TIME OF DAY theme, we had to pick an image or a color scheme that evokes a particular time of day to us and then develop a piece around it. I guess right about now you're thinking that my favorite time of day is 5 p.m. and "martini time"? Well, not EVERY day, but some days . . . *smiles*

So this is where the cheating comes in. I've already created this piece. As a matter of fact, it was my give-away for One World One Heart at the beginning of the year.

I made this clock from an old music album, a cd, recycled bottle caps and martini-related decorative papers. In addition, I used a martini glass rubber stamp, Ranger Alcohol Inks, Glossy Accents and Distress Ink Pads. I found the clock mechanism at JoAnn's that fit just perfect through the holes of the album and the cd.

Have a happy and creative day today! And don't forget about my 20% off any and everything in my Etsy Shop that ends tonight at midnight! (See blog post below)

The little olives are a great touch, and I can almost hear Dean Martin singing away!
