I NEED a Vacation!

Lezlei from Breath of Art and my sil/bff texted me the other day and asked me why we weren't going on the Tim Holtz Artful Voyage in Mexico cruise. She said we should go. Ok, so what do I need to do?

First off, I needed to request the time off from "the day job". I have put in my request and it hasn't been approved as of the writing of this blog post, but that's only because my manager has been out of town. Believe me, I know she will approve this time off for me.

Next, get a passport.

Since I work at The Auto Club, I was able to get my passport photos in a matter of minutes the other day, and even picked up the passport application there. After looking at those photos, I am totally convinced that a vacation for me is waaaaaaaaaay overdue! LOL

Find birth certificate. Check!

Go to the library or the post office and submit the photos and paperwork. Not sure what it will cost, but I'll have to wait until next payday for that part.

The next thing I need to do is get the money to PAY for this 8-day cruise.

One thing that's nice for me is that the cruise line sails out of San Pedro, about a 45-minute drive for me on a Sunday afternoon. That means I won't have to pay to fly anywhere or stay in a hotel the night before! Oh yeah, this is really starting to look doable!
I'm waaaaaaaaaay past the "Calgon take me away" bit! I don't just WANT a vacation . . . I NEED a vacation!

So here's the deal. I'm having a 20% off sale in my etsy shop just for my blog readers. When you purchase an item, just type "FOR YOUR MUCH NEEDED VACATION" in the notes section when you make your payment and I will return the 20% to your account. The sale will end on October 5th. NOTE: The 20% does not include the shipping & handling charges.

Are any of you going on this Tim Holtz & Wendy Vecchi cruise that leaves on October 11th? Have you ever been on a Tim Holtz cruise before? Any tips on what to pack or not to pack?

Girl, Mehiko ain't exactly the safest place in the Northern Hemisphere right about now...Do your homework and check out the US Embassy pages before you commit the pesos!

Pack? Just take your thong. Won't even need a suitcase, a big purse will work.

You are so deserving of this. You will do just fine. If you're prone to sea sickness, take some seabands and Dramamine (sp?). I survived on these throughout my art cruise and did fine.
