Dream Dinners and 2 New Charm Necklaces

Where have I been?!  I was flipping through the channels on the television and ran across a show on the TV Food Network called Dream Dinners.  When I checked to see what the show was about, it read "Find out how to make 12 dinners in about an hour.  Fix and Freeze".  Well, that piqued my interest.
I'm thinking this might be the way to go for lunches and dinners during the work week.  Plus, it sounds like it would probably save some $$ too.

And get THIS . . . I typed in my zip code for the closest location to me and it's RIGHT down the street on the SAME street I live on.

Here's how they say it works:  You go on-line (or you can call or fax), select a session (date & time), choose your dinners, checkout and finalize your order.

LEFT TO RIGHT: GREEK ISLAND SHRIMP WITH PASTA, CALIFORNIA CHICKEN WITH FETTUCCINI, GRILLED PICNIC CHICKEN and many more!

When you go in the store at your designated session time, everything is ready for you to assemble your dinners from easy-to-follow instructions to the fresh, pre-cut ingredients.

No shopping . . . No chopping . . . .No CLEAN UP!

CHICKEN WITH HONEY, GARLIC & ORANGE

Have any of you tried this yet?  I'm seriously thinking of giving this a go.  Check it out HERE and let me know what you think.

These are the latest and last (for awhile) charm necklaces I've made.  Both are in my etsy shop . . .

I looked at the web site for Dream Dinners and there is one in my city. I may have to check this out. I do a version of this during the school year. I cook on the weekends and freeze the food. I'll let you know if I try it and how it works out.

Sherry, I HAVE done this - and love it! It's a great way to save tons of time, and if you don't need the quantity each meal makes, you just divide it in half! I've used two different venues; one was more "Sysco" oriented, one was ultra fresh. Guess which one I preferred???? Wish one would open closer to me again!

Love the necklaces! Oh, and when Mr. B was in his accident and we were trlagated to my daughter's home in Colorado last year, her work buddies got us dinners from Dream Dinners as a get well gift - saved my daughter time and money and we ate very well for the time we were there - it's a great gift idea!

Love your art! Check with the owners Erin and Jamie of the Tustin store and ask if you can display to sell them for a week! I hope you try Dream Dinners and have a wonderful experience. It is the ultimate buy in bulk and save way to have a home cooked dinner and does cost less than buying the same ingredients at a grocery store. It is also very eco friendly, so much less packaging when you buy in bulk. We actually have children on our tasting panels; it is amazing to see what kids will really eat. We put kids in a box when we only feed them "white foods". Don’t miss our new Dream Rewards loyalty program. You can get more dinner ideas on my blog Take care. Love the music on your blog! http://stephanieallen.wordpress.com/

We have done dream dinners for a couple different ladies at work who had to go through cancer treatments.
It was wonderful for them and it was a nice way for us to help them out. :)

I'm loving the charm necklaces and I'm so excited to purchase one of your kits!

Cheers!
Stephanie

I really don't need to say this as you know I love your necklaces but I will say it anyway........I love your necklaces Sherry!!!! I heard about places like this for preparing meals ahead but have never done it. If I could get away with it, I would never cook another meal.

Sherry, I have done the dinner thing (or our version of it here in Chicago area). It was quite good and not overly expensive. All I can say is be prepared -- I was exhausted by the time I made all the meals!

Sherry, those dream dinners look like a fabulous idea. To my knowledge we don't have anything like that here (at least where I live in semi-rural Ontario).

Your new charm necklaces are, well, charming!

Hugs,

Sue

did you try the Dream Dinners, Sherry?
My daughter tried them and liked them--but *the children* have their favorites, so she doesn't go as often now.

I wish this was something that i came up with--i was a Home Ec teacher, and would have loved to gotten into a business such as that--but--hindsight, ya know--

it is a great idea!

( and you know i love your necklaces;>) )

ps- thinking about going to the convention in carson--if i have enough $ left over from my retirement this month! :>)))maybe i'll see you there.
