My daddy worked hard but loved to party as well. This photo was taken in Chicago, Illinois "back in the day". That's my mom to his right and my Godmother to my mom's right . . .
My grandfather passed away 32 days after my daddy. I soooo miss all of the stories he would tell me. This is a photo of him in his backyard in Indianapolis, IN . . .
Happy Father's Day to my two favorite men!
In Memoriam: Today, Author and friend, E. Lynn Harris would have been celebrating his 55th birthday. Those of you that have been following my blog for awhile may have remembered THIS POST.

I so enjoyed seeing pictures of your father and family. Thanks for sharing. Oh, the memories we all have even though they are gone. We do indeed remember them today.
Wonderful pictures, Sherry. Thanks for sharing. I miss my dad, too.
Wonderful memories in those pictures!

You came from a very beautiful family - what handsome men! And they look sweet & sincere. You are lucky to have had them in your life..
The book is gorgeous - I will visit the original post. Have a great week my friend:-)
Precious photos, priceless stories! What a lovely father's day post.
For so many of us, myself included, Father's Day is for memories, and the ones you shared are precious.
I miss my father very much too.

Thanks for your comment on my blog, 1945, was an eventful day for both of us. Isn't it something when you know you get it right. I did that piece last night before going to bed, just some scrap paper lying around and then I saw the pic of my parents, I just knew it went on there, I like the troublesomeness (sp) of the skies, uneveness of the house, and the hope in their faces. What great photos of your dad, I love the one of your parents dancing!
Hi Sherry, lovely pictures :-) Unfortunately my dad died when I was just 4 so I don't have any memories of him and only 2 photos. - not being maudling just stating facts :-)
