7 Gypsies in Paris and a Flip Flop Question

I just added this out-of-print 7 Gypsies in Paris book in my etsy shop today. This 52-page book is a work of art! This is what is written on the inside front page: "We walked the streets, smelled the bread, shopped the local favorites, found hidden treasures, saw famous hotspots and brought our favorites back for you"

This is not a "brand new" copy, but it is in pristine condition. As with so many of us these days, I am reorganizing and purging my art supplies - books and magazines included.

I have enjoyed this book over the years and am now "letting it go" for a GREAT price for an out-of-print book! Check around and see for yourself - then go HERE and grab this copy!
I have added more books and publications in my etsy shop as well. Some are duplicates that were in my library! I guess that's a sign that I really DID have too many books. LOL
PS This de-stashing and reorganizing is quite a task *sigh*

PSS Here's the question: I bought some new flip flops that I want to "dress up" with rhinestones for the cruise next month. I tried to do this with another pair of flip flops in the past, but the rhinestones are slowly but surely popping off. I used E-6000 to glue them on. Is there a better glue to use to get the rhinestones to stick and stay on rubber flip flops?

I have no idea if it would work, but how about clear caulk?

I have a well-loved copy of the 7 Gypsies book. I couldn't possibly part with it -- just yet. I thought it was so very clever and full of inspiration. Even today! Hope whoever buys it loves it as well.

But I understand the "purge" move since I am slowly, but surely, filling jars with do-dads that I no longer want and selling them in my antique/collectibles booth. I guess people love to rummage through the stuff included in the jar. Just like I love to rummage through stuff!

Hope you have a great week, Sherry!

Hi Sherry! It's so good to "see" you again :) You're heading on a cruise? How FUN! I've always sworn by E6000, so I'm at loss for any other suggestion... perhaps heavy Gel Medium?
How are you doing?

I was just thinking about your cruise, how funny. If that glue doesn't stick them on, I don't know what to tell you. I bought a pair of Yellowbox black flip flops with rhinestones.
If all else fails- buy these, they are super cute and comfortable! And thank you for your sweet comments, I appreciate you! xxoo deb

Update: I have wiped down the straps of one pair of the flip flops with alcohol (I read somewhere that was "the ticket") and then applied the jewels. I'm letting them "cure" until the cruise.

When I woke up this morning and saw the other pair sitting there all lonely and bare, I thought . . . huuuummm, I wonder if I could embellish them with grungeboard?! How cool would THAT be!
