Catching Up and Saturday, March 14th - Rubberstamp Convention

Hello fellow bloggers - I have returned from "The Kingdom" and am no longer wearing the crown of the Procelain Queen *hee hee*. Test results should be back on Wednesday.

Ok, on to this past Saturday at the Rubberstamp Convention in Carson. I started out video taping my time at the convention with my Flip video recorder, but I found out quickly that it's really hard to shop, talk, look and do make and takes while video taping! So I put the recorder back in my purse and got out the camera instead.

Before I show you pictures though, I want to tell you that even though this was the smallest show at Carson I have ever witnessed, it was one of the best for me, because I got to meet several on-line bloggers and blog readers. That was really a treat for me *smiles*.

I did not get to meet Genevieve in person though :( I got an e-mail from her this morning telling me that she thought she saw me, and now knows that it WAS me she saw. We'll meet one of these days!

Another treat for me on Saturday was that I got to take Linda Bucci for her first time to a rubberstamp convention! I remember MY first convention, and I was so hoping that she would have the same excitement.

Well, she DID. Linda had a great time seeing demos, doing a make and take, talking with the vendors about their products, meeting other arts and crafts people, and of course THE SHOPPING!

Ok, here are the photos I took at the show. First up is Wendy Vicchi. Wendy works for Ranger. You know, the same people T!m works for . . .

That's Linda from Stampmaiden on the left and Linda Bucci on the right, watching Wendy demo . . .

Here are some of Wendy's samples made with grungeboard and the new grunge paper . . .

Wendy has her own line of stamps . . .

And look at these birdie projects she made that were on display at the show . . .

This post is turning out to be pretty long! I'm going to end this one and do a Part Two.

See you soon :)

It looks like a fun time and the paper seems awesome.

I hope everything went well with your procedure and the results are normal and good! ( I am sending my positive thoughts your way!) :)
