Will You Be Attending? . . .

It's almost here!  This Friday and Saturday is the Holiday Affaire II event in Costa Mesa.  Below are a few items that I will be selling . . .
Christmas Angel - 8" x 8" gallery wrapped canvas

Christmas Tree - 8" x 8" gallery wrapped canvas

laser wood cut Santas and Elves and some
fun swimsuit & intimate Santa girl earrings
Some vintage goodies in the mix . . .
And of course I will be bringing some of my Eclectic Charm Necklaces . . .
Oh, and I just learned today that 4 more artists will be selling at the event.  That makes twelve of us now.  There will be something for everyone - sterling silver jewelry, candle holders, gorgeous holiday pillows, decorator dolls, whimsical creations, greeting cards, fine art and MORE!

Ooooh, and don't miss the Mini Marketplace.  There's going to be some really good new and slightly used items and even some vintage ephemera for sale at some great prices.

For address, time of event both days, etc., please refer to my blog post below.  Hoping to see you Friday, Saturday or maybe even both days! :)

A Holiday Affaire II - December 2nd and 3rd

Hello Blogger Peeps! I will be participating in the upcoming event on Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd with some of my other artsy friends. Please note the times for each day. Friday - noon to 6pm and Saturday - 10am to 4pm.
The event is being held again at the home of my friends Linda and Bob Bucci in Costa Mesa (see above for complete address).  Their house is on the corner of 19th and Raymond.

AND we're going to have a "Mini Marketplace" where you can get some good deals on art books & magazines, vintage ephemera, inks, ribbon, rubber stamps and soooooo much more.  First come-First served.
So mark you calendars and spread the word!  Bring your cash, checks and credit cards.  There will be a credit card machine available and I'm also hooked up with the SQUARE Card Reader on my IPhone.  We've got you covered any way you want/need to pay for what you can't live without this holiday season :)

Have a Happy Thanksgiving next week!

Workshop Cancelled

Due to low enrollment, my workshop at The Inspiration Emporium Warehouse November 19th has been cancelled.  Stay tuned for a new class date after the new year!

Holiday Eclectic Charm Necklace Workshop

***THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELLED UNTIL AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR***
I am so excited to write this blog post to let you know that I will be teaching my Eclectic Charm Necklace Workshop at the Inspiration Emporium warehouse!  Yes, a workshop inside the WAREHOUSE!  Do you know what THIS means?  THIS means that you will be surrounded by all the wonderful products that Inspiration Emporium sells on-line.  And let me tell you . . . I've shopped at the warehouse, and it's like being in one big ole candy store.

The workshop will be held on Saturday, November 19th from 1:00pm-4:30pm at 644 Eckhoff, Suite H.  Major cross streets are Orangewood and Eckhoff in the city of Orange.

And as with all of my workshops, everything is included with the exception of your imagination and a pair of Tim Holtz non-stick micro serrated scissors.  And if you don't have a pair of these scissors, you can purchase them HERE or at the warehouse the day of the workshop.
If you'd like to create a holiday eclectic charm necklace similar in style to the one in the photo at the top of this blog post, just let me know in advance.

And if you'd prefer a NON-holiday eclectic charm necklace, I will have plenty of kits available for those as well.
I will be teaching this workshop for $60 (normally an $80 workshop).  That leaves plenty left to do some shopping after the workshop in the warehouse.

Come learn how to create acrylic Fragment charms (we'll make 10) and add metal and laser wood cut doo-dads to fill out your 19" antiqued silver metal chain.  Or if you prefer, I will have 24" chains available for just a few dollars more.  No two necklaces are ever alike!
SAMPLE ONLY
And these eclectic charm necklaces make wonderful gifts.  And with the holidays just around the corner, you'll have plenty of time to create some special gifts for some special friends or family members.

Eclectic Charm Necklace Workshop (Tim Holtz-Inspired)

Hello Blogger Buddies!  Just wanted to remind you about my Eclectic Charm Necklace Workshop next Saturday, August 20th at Whimzy in Old Town Tustin, California.  The Workshop is from 1:00pm to 4:30pm.
No need to bring anything other than a pair of small/medium size, sharp scissors (Tonic Scissors are my all-time favorite!)
In addition to the collage techniques you will learn, I will be teaching some techniques that I haven't used in this workshop in the past (see above photo)
Idea-ology Fragments and Facets, laser wood cuts, fabric, metal and so much more!
You can sign up for the workshop HERE, get all the details and even pay using PayPal!  Now what could be easier than that?

Some photos from past workshops . . .

Hope to see you next Saturday.  In the meantime, stay creative!

Blues, Birds and Butterflies

My latest necklace - Tim Holtz Idea-ology Fragments, laser wood cuts, Tim Holtz Distress Stain - Broken ChinaTim Holtz Distress Stain - Faded Jeans, Cavallini decorative paper - Flora & Fauna Birds & Music 20"x28" parent sheet.
A little wired bird nest with blue eggs, metal birds from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Adornments, words/definitions from dictionary
Decorated the Fragment backsides in blues to coordinate with the front sides if they turn while being worn
That's it for today.

And for those of you following my "C" journey . . . here's an update:
Went to see Dr. Smith (cutie pie plastic surgeon) last Thursday.  No more tissue expansion procedures.  My last one was April 27th.

The tissue expanders need to stay in place for another month and a half and then I will have surgery to remove the expanders and replace them with breast implants. I am sooooo looking forward to getting these out of me!

And in case you're wondering what they feel like, do you or have you ever worn a bra with underwires?  Well it feels like a bra with an underwire that goes around the whole bra and filled with fluid until your skin feels like those tight leather pants you wore as a teenager.  Yep, that's what it feels like.
