Saturday Outing and Some TH Videos

Today was the Piecemakers Peddler's Market in Costa Mesa.  I met up with some friends for a morning of shopping.  Lots of good bargains at garage sale prices at this event.
Afterwards we went across the street to Acapulco's and had an early lunch.  That's Linda on the left and Martha on the right.  Martha drove out from the desert this morning.  . . .
We all had some good laughs at lunch.  Carolyn and Jody . . .
It's a long story, but it had to do with Jody and a tongue thing.  Here's Debbie sticking her tongue out.  Don't ask!  LOL . . .
The waiters came by and sang Happy Birthday to me (no, you didn't miss it - my birthday is Wednesday the 9th) . . .
And then came back with a Birthday flan that was really tasty . . .
After lunch I stopped here since I was in the area . . .
and I'm glad I did.  I finally got to meet (the very sweet) Eva Koyama, Stamproprietor of Stampin EJ - Nice meeting you Eva! :) . . .
and if you know me, you know I'm not much of a "card maker", but Eva invited me to sit down and make a couple of cards . . .
Back home now and catching up on some more One World One Heart blogs and comments.  As of the writing of this blog post there are 790 participants so far this year!  If you have a blog, you can participate as well.  Look for the link in my right hand column to get there.

PS  My Nostalgic Curio Workshop is March 5th.  Don't miss out on this one!  See more details here:  http://gotart4u.blogspot.com/2010/12/nostalgic-curio.html

One last thing before I sign off.  If you missed CHA and would like to see Tim doing his thing, check out some good videos HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you next week.

One World One Heart

This Give-Away is Now CLOSED. Thank you for entering and
it was nice meeting you! :)
Welcome to GOT ART?  So nice of you to stop by.  If this is your first time, WELCOME! - it's nice to meet you.  If you are a "regular", glad you stopped by today *smiles*.

This is the 5th and final One World One Heart event that Lisa Oceandreamer Swifka will be hosting.

I have met soooo many wonderfully creative bloggers these past years through OWOH and hope this year will not be the exception.

And instead of filling up this post with all the particulars, I will just give you a link to Lisa's blog post so you can read all about this wonderful event.  Instructions are over there to tell you how to participate as well.  Click HERE for the details.

Just by leaving a comment here on this blog post, you will be entered to win Esther.  Esther is  a vintage cabinet card.  The canvas is 5 x 7 but Esther's lace makes this a 5 x 10 piece.  The lace (dyed in coffee) and flowers are all vintage.  The tassel is new but has been coffee stained to match the lace.  I added a rhinestone piece at her neckline.

The canvas has been textured with layers and layers of paint and there are little vintage papers embedded under the layers - some peeking out :)  I added a rusty braided wire which makes this canvas piece ready to hang.  You can click on the photo to get a closer look . . .

Be sure I have a way to contact you if you are the winner - Good luck!
and I hope you will come back after the event to visit again.

Around the World in 19 Days!

January 30, 2011 will be the start of the fifth and final One World One Heart blog event.  I will once again be participating in this world-wide event.
Need to know more?  You can get all of the details and read the rules for participation on Lisa's blog HERE.  Lisa Swifka is our gracious Event Creator and Hostess for One World One Heart.

If you have never participated in this event, won't you consider taking a trip around the world for 19 days?  You just never know who you might meet :)
