March 31, 2010 WOYWW and Winnings!

I'm joining in for What's on Your Workspace Wednesday again this week.  I've been creating inside as well as out on the balcony this week.  The weather has been soooooo nice these days.  And although I do live in Southern California, the weather man said it looks like rain coming our way today.  But that's ok, I can still work outside since my balcony is covered.

Here's what's on my workspace outside on my balcony . . .
Vintage rulers I'm going to be cutting up for a workshop I'm teaching in June, pens I use for Zentangling, gesso for canvases I'm prepping, some wood laser cuts of butterflies and birds in one bowl and keys and locks in the other.

Some collaged atc's I'm working on and some laser cut "dark doll" pieces for some steampunk jewelry I'm contemplating.  In the other photo is a vintage English book, a French/English dictionary and a Japanese/English dictionary to use in some collage pieces.

(Above) Inside on my coffee table in the living room is this work-in-progress of a Zentangle-inspired New York jazz piece.  This piece is on watercolor paper and is approximately 8" x 9".

Above are some atc's laying out on the coffee table as well.  Some with bling added (Stickles glitter glue) and are still drying this morning . . . Platinum of course.  You know how I love my Platinum Stickles :)

On another note, look what I won this week over on Jenny Doh's blog CrescenDOH and on Eileen's blog Art Saves Lives!  Thank you ladies :)  It's been a good week so far.

WOW that 'Jazz piece blew me away and I love the atcs too. What pens do you use ...make and size ...any help for this beginner would be welcome ..

Have just read your previous post ...re the trolly ...see if you can get Oil Cloth ...was used a lot in the 50's and 60's as shelf and table covers...it comes in many colours and patterns ...not cheap but if you made a pattern for a drop in bag ...and by sewing the backs together(which are not easy clean),for each section ..you could end up with a bag that is hard wearing and can be wiped down inside and out ....hope you follow that lol

I am drooling over that jazz piece...seriously, it would look so good on my wall (where else should a NYC jazz piece be, but on a wall in NYC?).
That bracelet you won is gorgeous, and that brooch ain't too bad either, LOL! Yours is on its way to CA even as we speak.
BTW, you have NEAT stuff! Well, I knew that as soon as I saw that little suitcase you brought on the cruise :)
Toodles,
Eileen

Ah, I love Southern California, in fact, I just love California, haven't visited in a couple of years, *sigh*. I sat on my desk last night in Michigan wearing shorts when I got home from work, I was pretty happy about that I can tell you!! Love the artwork.
