Some I saw were: love, peace, joy, patience, health, sanity (I liked that one a lot!), listen, focus, release, forgive, seek, build, moderation. Ohhhh the list goes on and on.
So I was at "the day job" today trying to think of a good word to focus on for 2010. Then all of a sudden the word "PUSH" came to mind! I thought, yep, that's gonna be my word this year!
The word push means to apply pressure against for the purpose of moving.
To move (an object) by exerting force against it - thrust or shove.
To force (one's way).
To urge forward or urge insistently; pressure.
To advance despite difficulty or opposition; press forward.
To expend great or vigorous effort.
"Cause when push comes to shove,
you taste what you're made of.
You might bend till you break,
cause it's all you can take.
On your knees, you look up,
decide you've had enough.
You get mad, you get strong,
wipe your hands, shake it off.
and you stand . . ."

What about YOU? Did you come up with a word to live by for the new year?

I didn't plan on having any word or even a resolution, but after reading your blog today, I've decided mine will be "APPRECIATE". I do appreciate the time, effort and skills you put into GOT ART? and look forward to it, again and again. YOU are the BEST.

Hmmm....my initial reaction for my personal word is "release". Release pain, both emotional and physical, mental barriers, love....you have me thinking!
Hi Sherry,
My word is DARE, as in dare to step out of your comfort zone.
I hope to try lots of new things this year.
xoxo
My word is organised ... no more flapping around and leaving things to the last minute for me ... oh no ... organisation ... look out ... I am on me way :0)
I love it Sherry!! So original and So true!!!!!!!!!!! Have a happy day!!! xOxO
"push" is a great word for a resolution. Actually it is one I should apply to myself. I constantly need to "push" myself.
I think in my case though, I will go with "focus" I tend to get scattered way too often!
Great post Sherry!
Well, I decided that I needed a word also...it didn't immediately come to me...but as I was out and about yesterday, it popped into my head.f..RICH. Not "neccessarily" monitarily (though that wouldn't hurt...hehe), but rather in the value and quality...in relationships, work, my art, etc.
xoxoxo
Hmmm, I guess if I had to choose one it would be sleep since that's what I'm always lacking, lol!
No seriously I believe my word for the year is inspiration... I love being and helping others to be.
