Flashback to 1968 through 1971

I've created a playlist just for this post. If you have your speakers on already, first go to my playlist in the right-hand column of my blog and click on the pause button. Then click on the play button on the playlist listed below on this post.

Thirty-six of my favorites from 1968-1971. Ahhhhhh, those were the days when you could actually hear and understand what the artist was singing about!

So here's the deal. Ooooooooh this is going to be fun (and funny)! I read about a contest (when I was visiting Connie's blog) that Heather Powers of Humblebeads is having.

The following photos will make more sense to you once you go HERE for the rules. I sure hope you will play along.

Graduation Day - 1971 - Shortridge High School, Indianapolis, IN
Left to right: Beverly Buckner, Barbara Brown, and me
Prom Night 1971 - Indianapolis, IN
Photo taken in my parent's living room - WOW! Look at those drapes!
Graduation Day - 1971
Shouldn't I be smiling????
This part is going to be difficult. You're supposed to list 5 of your favorite songs in high school. I've always loved music and can remember sooooo many favorites, but I'll stick to the rules of the contest, and narrow the list down to just 5:

It's Too Late by Carole King
Baby, Baby Don't Cry by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles
Rainy Days And Mondays by the Carpenters
I'll Be There by the Jackson 5

La-La Means I Love You by the Delfonics

This is so funny, Sherry!. ...and you're right - those curtains! I'm sure my mom must have had the same ones! I love your song choices - I'm going to put your link on my blog.

Sherry, good song choices and great photos. The music made me feel like I was back in high school and while listening to Stevie Wonder on your playlist it reminded me of the ride to my graduation cause it was playing on the radio.

Love your song choices. You and I are from the same era. Those were some drapes. We had a couch that look a lot like them. Somethings from the past should never be brought back. lol
