My Latest Blog Banner

Well, Tiffany Jane from Beyond the Vintage Path has done it again! With the exception of my first couple of blog banners that I put together myself, Tiffany Jane Marshall has been creating all of my blog banners.

My latest banner features several of my family photos from long ago, some of my favorite things, and some "extras" from Tiffany's stash.

From left to right on the top row in the Printer's Box:
The title of my blog - Got Art?
A photo of me eons ago in the backyard of my cousin's house in Indianapolis, Indiana
A pair of wings (Tiffany)
A chandelier (Tiffany)
Photo of my late Grandfather and his brother
On the far right is a photo of my Great Aunt - Fannie Violet Hyde and her husband on their wedding day. Her sister (my Grandmother) is standing directly behind her along with their brothers
Below the wings is one of my favorite photos of my Grandmother and cousin, Michael playing checkers together in my Grandmother's house

Below the chandelier is a photo of crosssed hands holding a rose (Tiffany), and next to that photo is a bird (Tiffany)

Far left - bottom row:
Some tags I created using Biedermeire doll heads clipart, a couple of Frozen Charlotte dolls, and a coffee filter rose I made
Next, is a photo of my mom, dad, Godmother and one of their friends, partying at home in Chicago in the late 40's
One of my Jazz on Canvas pieces featuring Fitzgerald and Armstrong
A bird carrying a letter (Tiffany)
A photo of four cats I got from a vintage cat book. I love how the cats are looking up at the bird

Next to the cat photo is a combined photo of my Great Aunt Fannie and my Great Great Grandfather on their respective graduation days
Below the cat photo is one of Tiffany's vintage pearl purses with some antique silverware
And to the right of that piece is the pink 1950's manual typewriter I picked up last year
And to the far right is a photo of moi in the courtyard of our apartment complex, also in the 50's. I like how Tiffany placed one of my scrabble necklaces around my neck that reads "love you"

And I DO . . . LOVE each and every one of you! Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Easter. xoxo

You can find Tiffany's banners and other artwork on her website, flicker, and in her etsy shop. Check her out in the 2009 Spring/Summer issue of Cloth, Paper, Scissors magazine

Oh Sherry, I love the history behind your blog header. I got goosebumps reading the history of it all. I'll be sure to check out Tiffany's spot in CPS. I just purchased it tonight.
Happy Easter to you!
