Everything must change
Nothin' stays the same
Everyone will change
No one stays the same
The young become the old
and mysteries do unfold
'Cause that's the way of time
Nothin' and no one goes unchanged
you can be sure of, except
Rain comes from the clouds
Sun lights up the sky
And hummingbirds do fly
Winter turns to Spring
A wounded heart will heal
But never much too soon
Yes, everything must change
And music, sweet music makes me cry
lyrics by Bernard Ighner
Here's the update on what's going on with my medical situation and my move in May . . .
- March 12th: IVP
- March 13th: Renal Ultrasound
- March 16th: Dr. called - abnormal mass on left kidney
- March 25th: Cat Scan
- April 1st: Consultation with the urologist. What had been described to me as an abnormal mass on my left kidney, turned out to be cysts. Polycystic kidney disease is a disorder caused when multiple cysts form on the kidneys. This is definitely something that needs to be ruled out.
- April 15th: Back to the urologist for bladder testing. They still don't know where the blood and protein is coming from that is in my urine. Urologist said he is more concerned with that than he is about the kidney findings (say what?!)
- Then there's the matter of the high blood pressure - urrrrgh. Gotta go back to my primary care physician and probably get on some medication for that. I think with this kidney thing, the HBP got put on hold for a minute.
So that's it on the medical stuff. I will keep you informed on any new findings. Keep good thoughts for me please.
Now to the May move . . .
- I was up against the clock on what to do. The unit and location of the new place was not a for sure thing, and there was a chance that what I wanted wouldn't be available the first of May.
- I needed to let the management where I currently live know if I was going to renew my lease for another year. You know the saying "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush"?
- If I took the chance and didn't renew where I am, and then ended up having to stay, I would have had to pay almost double to go on a month-to-month lease. I make a pretty good living, but not THAT good! LOL
I've said it before and I'll say it again - things happen in our lives for a reason. We may not know what the reason IS at the time, but there's a reason. So with God leading the way, I will be still and be happy where I am and keep on keepin' on *smiles*.
xoxo

Lots of prayers to you Sherry! The kidney thing is most likely what is throwing the BP off. I don't understand why the cysts would not be responsible for the protien and blood as well. Seems like it would be involved somehow. Don't ya just hate when life gets in the way of your creative time and fun.
Thinking of you...keep us updated and know that we're here if you need us!!!
Sherry, I don't know much, but I know that waiting for anything, especially answers, can be the worst torture....you'll be on my mind. Stay busy!
Time to heal - that's why you need to stay put for another year;) All will be well!
Medical stuff is not fun. Moving is not fun. Hey, at least one not-fun thing has been eliminated from your list. :-) Will be thinking good thoughts for you on the medical stuff!
Hi Sherry,
Good luck with everything. It's so hard to wait. I'm thinking of you.♥
My healing thoughts and prayers are with you through this uncertain time Sherry.
Take Care - Robin
Thank you my friends for your thoughts and prayers.
Sherry, hope you have all your answers soon. Sending healing thoughts and prayers your way.
Medical stuff, especially the unkown What and Why can certainly get in the way of just plain Life. Hope it gets resolved and leaves you more space for Art.
Honestly I don't have any words of wisdom to share, but liked Stephanie's remark of staying busy in such times! It's a good piece of advice for & in my current situation & as long as I can craft & keep myself busy, things shall pass & answers shall arrive, or something like that. All the best! Cheers, Julie
I haven't visited in a few days. Was so alarmed to hear the results of the test, etc. You will be in my thoughts and prayers until all is resolved.
I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason even though we may not be able to see it right away. Keep busy creating.
Stress raises BP and you have plenty of stressors in your life right now. But do see your doctor, he'll know what to do once you tell him all that is going on in your life.
Bless you!
Ok...now I'm caught up! You need one of those "keep calm and carry on" signs.
Hope your helps gets better soon!
