Got Solder ?

It's just amazing the things you find when you're reorganizing your supplies! This morning I found "lost" glass slide charm soldering supplies in three different locations. Wow, I had no idea I had bought so many packages of Memory Glass Slides. I think it must have been a couple of years ago when I taught a beginning soldering class at Stamp Fever.

front side

In my search to gather all of my supplies to put in one spot, I found some glass slide charms I had made and/or started. So today's give-away is for two, 2-sided charms. The 1" x 3" charm (on the right) is already soldered and has a jump ring. The 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" charm (on the left) has been started for you with copper tape burnished onto the piece. All you need to do is solder and attach a jump ring to it.

opposite side

I will also include some Memory Glass in the sizes shown below, along with some copper tape, for you to create some slides of your own!

So, how do you win this give-away package? Leave a comment and give some other ideas of things to use to sandwich between 2 pieces of glass, wrap in copper tape, and solder.

That's it! I will randomly select a winning name on Sunday evening at 6:00.

Insect wings. Like cicada wings. Or dragonflies. We are talking D-E-A-D insects here.
Susan (and not Don, who thinks cockroaches are acceptable but I think are only acceptable if they live on a different planet and are squashed flat and are definitely D-E-A-D).

I love sandwiching vintage lace and fabrics between the glass, or open lace and vintage book pages, perhaps a little silk ribbon. Beautiful!!! Thanks for the chance on the giveaway. Love your blog!

I don't have soldering stuff, but I TOTALLY want to get some. I have lot's of ideas like

TATTING~ I do hand tatted lace and I want to make some soldered charms with that.

Place cards!~ Laurie from Charming Designs and I already have had this discussion, LOL! You can put a piece of white paper in there and use colored dry erase pens to write the names on for dinners! So cute!!!

I have seen laces between glass, which are beautiful! Love the ideas everyone has presented! I'll add words - impact words that we find here and there. JUST a word for pow!

These would make amazing charms for a first wedding anniversary bracelet or a Mother's Day bracelet. Teeny-tiny snip of the dress with a small dried flower, a small enough section from the wedding invite or newspaper announcement with a pic of the couple....for Mother's Day a baby's curl, small typed birth stats with baby's pic, a small drawing from a child or a poem to mom.

What fun. How about lace, special, fabric scraps, vintage papers, butterfly wings, dried pressed flowers, layered transparencies, family or travel photo's, seasonal magazine clippings, embroidery, news clippings, handwriting from your loved ones, stamps, something you would really want to look at under a microscope!
Love your music!
