I have seen these...the skill it takes to make them is impressive...but having it around would be eerie to me. Seen a lot of related marketing on the "reborns"...can't get comfortable with it.
I was JUST watching this! The craftsmanship is amazing! I think playing with dolls are cool.. but she may be a bit outside the realm in which I consider.... well um... norm. But hey whatever floats your boat!
You know, I saw something similar to this on TV the other day with a whole gaggle of women who do this doll thing. Personally, I'd love to carry one around and let everyone think I'm crazy when they come up to see my baby and I tell them it's a doll. HA! Better than Bert and Sarah.
I think it is sad. You know they are missing something in their life, there must be an emptiness that they are trying to fill. At least it doesn't hurt anyone, and maybe it helps them...who knows. Aren't we all obsessed with crafting. lol. Laurie
I am a mixed-media artist and instructor-convention junkie-thrift store and flea market shopper. Born in Chicago, raised in Indianapolis, lived in South Orange County until February 2015 when I packed up, sold just about everything I owned and left the country to travel the World!
I suffer from ARTzheimer's Disease (Artz'hi'merz) - A disease that affects many artists and renders them helpless in the search for remembering where they put many of their arts & crafts supplies in and around their homes or studios.

Back to bed!
One other thought...I have seen them where they fit in the palm of your hand...that would be OK...
Now I'm going back to bed.
