Collage Work

In keeping with Creative Every Day 2009, here are a couple of collages I've been working on . . .

Holding On To Time - collage, January 2009 baltic birch board laser cut crown. butterfly manipulated to create wings serendipity background on watercolor paper

Little Man's Journey - Collage, January 2009

painted canvas, hand-drawn flowers and dots painted white and outlined with black sharpie. I then covered thepainted canvas with butterfly printed tissue. The sun is stamped on a piece of transparency, the word "Journey" was typed onto transparency, and the little man is a cutout from a vintage book. Diamond Glaze has been used to seal the collage.

Post Script: As they say, "the jig is up", and it's back to the day job for me today. Yep, the holiday is officially over for me. Oh, but LOOK . . . there's a long holiday weekend approaching -*MLK day is Monday, the 19th*. YIPPEE!

Sherry is amazing!! I have purchased items from her ETSY store. I also won her wonderful "inchies" RAK. The items arrived fast and uniquely packaged. She is a beautiful person inside and out.

Sherry, you know I am scrapbooker. What are the dimensions for your collage pieces? I'm in LOVE with "Holding On To Time"!!

To Robin: You scrapbookers always need measurements! LOL The piece you are referring to is 9" x 6" :)

That's EXACTLY where the crown came from! Porkchop Scottie - I have ALL of his cuts *smiles*. As a matter of fact, the pink birds he has? - I sent him a gold embossed German Scrap bird and that's what he did with it! I love his work.
