Vacation - Day 15 (Saturday)

I thought today I would share with you some new products and upcoming events I read about.

Claudine Hellmuth Signature Artist Line by Ranger: paints, multi-mediums in matte and gloss finishes, artist brushes, sticky-back canvas (this sounds interesting!) and gesso. Read more about these new products by clicking on the link.

Then there's Collage Pauge Instant Decoupage™ by Duncan that Traci Bautista has created. It comes in Matte, Glossy & Sparkles. Ohhhhhh, Sparkles!

Maybe not-so-new products by Tim Holtz that some of you may or may not know about.
I picked up a few of these at the last Carson Rubberstamp show in July:

Journaling Tickets and Adage Tickets, Word Keys and Muse Tokens, Hinge Clips and Ball Chain . . . oh the list goes on. This guy never ceases to amaze me with all he creates with his art and product line!

Crafty Chica has a new product line out by Duncan Crafts at Michael's craft stores that is the first multi-culti-tinged line that a mainstream craft store has ever carried!

And for those of you that live in La La Land, I found this upcoming event that Lisa Engelbrecht is having. It's a Book Launch Party to celebrate the release of her new book *MODERN MARK MAKING* (Rockport/Quarry Publishers)

Date: Sunday, August 24th
Time: 5:00 pm until whenever!
Address: 6329 Mariquita Street, Long Beach 90803

Her very special guests (who are also her contributors) will also be in attendance. Plus some surprise guests!

Live Calligraphic Painting by Lisa and the contributors
Live Graffiti Painting by the UTI crew. Note: Their panels will be auctioned off to benefit the Homeland Cultural Center Murals Program

Tacos and dinner by Salvador Wine and Beer will be served and there will be live music.

There is absolutely no obligation to buy Lisa's book or dvd, but she and her contributors would love to sign your book if you have one. Lisa just wants to celebrate with us.

And if you can't make this event, Lisa will be doing a book signing and demo at the First Saturday Art Walk in Santa Ana's Artist Colony for The Artbar. This event will be Saturday, September 6th from 7 to 9 pm.

If you haven't been to the First Saturday Art Walk, I can tell you first-hand, that this is a lot of fun! All of the artist's studios are open for you to walk through, meet the artists, have some wine . . .
