Update for "Today in Fullerton"

UPDATE! There was an aggressive freelance photographer (commonly referred to as the paparazzi) at the flea market pursuing celebrities for the purpose of taking candid photographs. One such photo was not highly favored by one of the celebrities, so I have pulled the photo from the front page as a friendly courtesy to said celebrity (smiles). You will have to come to the flea market in June (said celebrity will not be at the May market) to get a chance to see her!

A few updated photos from the flea market . . .

What a nice weekend this has been. I went to The Mercantile Flea Market in Fullerton this morning and hung out for a bit with Dede, Nancy and Linda. I dropped a few bucks at their booth as well. Can't share what I bought though, most of the things are gifts (smiles).

I had met Dede last year at The ARTbar, but hadn't seen her since that time. But she's one of those kind of people that once you start conversing with her, you feel like you've been friends forever! We are both in one of the local on-line yahoo art groups and that's how I found out about Gilding the Lily, the Mercantile Flea Market as well as the grand opening of Carpe Diem Experience. Turns out she's a good friend of Nancy's - the shop owner of Gilding the Lily! It's a small world after all isn't it?

I met one of Nancy's best friends - Linda Hayward, still ANOTHER "friends-at-first-sight" kind of person. And I know this isn't art-related, but it's my blog and I can write what I want right? Right!(smiles), but Linda is a really special Re/Max agent in North Orange County. If you are a dog lover, a lover of animals, or just a sucker for a good happy-ending-type story, then you have GOT to read the following article that can also be found on page 15 (OC Homes section) in this morning's Orange County Register. Here's the article . . . Left click on it so you don't have to squint to read it. Linda is on the left giving Murray the keys!
Ok, so back to art-related stuff. Here are some photos from Carpe Diem Experience. No website yet, but the address is 115 South Harbor Blvd., Fullerton 92835. Sabrina Contreras is the shop owner. She is open for business Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 6pm. The telephone number is (714) 680-9882. You can also reach Sabrina by e-mail at Carpediemexperience@gmail.com.

That's it for today! Gotta go unpack my bags and look and touch everything I bought today :-)

Oh Sherry, it was good to see you as well. I completely enjoyed chatting it up with you, but I must say that is one unflattering photo of me! Yikes, I am going to have to practice talking prettier, if that's even possible...
