Week 11 - Blended Batik

It's week 11 and I just made it for The Compendium of Curiosities Challenge over on Linda Ledbetter's blog.  Yippee!

The week was all about Page 36 in Tim's book.  I used a stamp by Great Impressions that I won at Stamp Fever's grand opening a few weeks ago.  I also used one side of a double-sided stamp by Just for Fun.

The base color on my tag was Old Paper Distress Ink and I went over the top after using the techniques with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.

The grapes were filled in with Purple Stickles Glitter Glue and the leaves and stems with Peeled Paint Distress Stickles and a Gary Burlin & Co. Green Glitter Glue.

And I finished off the tag with some fibers and ribbons to coordinate.
If you haven't joined in the fun of this challenge up until now, please hop on over to Linda's blog and join in for the next challenge that she will announce on Monday morning!

Okay, this is just flipping GORGEOUS, Sherry! Those colors are magical together-- the Old Paper looks amazing as the batik undertone, and the stamps you used couldn't be cooler. I love how you offset the grape stamp on top of the batik! The Distress Stickles? The perfect touch! Brilliant! As always. :)

Thanks for posting on my blog Sherry - since you posted yours after i did I had to go back and look at what else I missed. Your tag is lovely! I'm partial to a grape theme as that is what my husband I used for our wedding. Love the double stamping effect with the batik look & the color & texture you added back in too.
