Does it Ever End?!

ANOTHER binding machine?!
 versus
I never got the hang of the Bind-it-All that I broke down and purchased.  And even with a live demo from my friend Robin at a coffee shop - yes, I took my Bind-it-All to a coffee shop to get a lesson on how to use the daggone thing after I'd had it for almost 2 years!

And NO, I STILL don't know how to use it.  Where IS that thing anyway? urrrrrrr

So I ask you, does this new binding tool - "The Cinch" live up to it's name?  And the second question is . . . is this a "I've got to have that" item?  Here's a link to a live demo from CHA:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joeg7dC2dwY

Oooooh, but I'm still holding out for Tim's die cutting machine!! check out this YouTube video if you haven't seen it in action.  And THIS is just the prototype! - Oh yeah, I'm for SURE getting one of THESE

I did not know of Tim's thingy, but if it can be had with a 40% off coupon at Michael s or Joannes' I will wait for it and have someone ship it to me... I also bought a bind it all, but at cost and still have not used it. It is on a shelf on my husbands side of the room in a dusty blue case, lol! Thanks for the product reviews my sister in art.

I am so relieved to know that I'm not the only one! I bought a Bind-It-All, only to be so confused by it that I finally hid it in a drawer so it doesn't taunt me. If The Cinch turns out to be more user-friendly, I'll eBay this bad boy in a heartbeat and trade up!

Now, Tim's new machine?? I'm all over that!

Let me tell you, I just saw a live demo on this, this past weekend, and it looks AMAZING! I do not have the bind it all, I held off buying one, but I'm glad I did, because the Cinch looks to be much more user friendly, and a quality machine. No thinking about how to center your holes, it does it for you. Looks like a must have if you make a lot of books. Good thing is, you can use your Zutter wires, even though it punches a round hole, they're a little bigger. Or you could just use rings. It looked very cool.

The Cinch looks great but I already have all the book binding machines known to man so I will have to see this one in person and see if I really need it. I like the feature of being able to just punch certain holes......very different from what I already have although in other ways it is very similar to a Commercial Rubicoil which I have which punches round holes. The Cinch looks good but will have to see on that one.

As to the Bind it All, I have the Pink one and it has guides and locking mechanism and I LOVE it. I have made probably over 100 books with it but it is a close second to my Rubicoil machine which is wonderful but pricey.

I love Tim's suitcase die cut machine but I have the Big Shot Express electronic machine so I will stick with that. If I didn't have that machine, I would be all over the suitcase after they get all the bugs worked out of it.

I agree Sherry, I don't think it will ever end as far as new gadgets and boy do I love new tools to work with.

I don't have a bind it all so I can't give any advice on that - my only "big" cardmaking machine is the cuttlebug, I am not really that big on machines....I do love my computer though - ha, ha I couldn't be without that!
An email will be in your inbox tonight!

I succumbed the second I read that I could still use the one billion B-I-A wires I already have.
I had the older version of the B-I-A and it drove me insane.
Two minutes after I saw the Cinch I ordered it, and it really is amazing, and waaaaaay easier to use than that dreaded B-I-A (which I'd bought on sale when the new one came out, didn't spend much on, and is now on its way to a friend who wants it anyway.)
I suppose I'll love this gadget until someone invents a better one, LOL.
