Posole at the RSC in March 2010!

This past Sunday was the potluck at Gen's, and the main dish was the posole.  And as I mentioned in my previous post, I had never had nor heard of posole before.  Well, let's just say that posole is one of my favorite dishes now.  It was deeeee-li-cious!

I was starting to get worried that there wasn't going to be any left for me to take home in the empty tupperware bowl I brought . . .

Fortunately, there was more in a pot on the stove!  Yippee, I got to take a little home with me *smiles*.

After we ate, we were supposed to make tags.  You know, the 12 Tags of Christmas that Tim Holtz did on his blog?  I started a couple of tags, but I think after that 2nd bowl of posole and another glass of wine (or two) . . . well, you know where this story is going.  Can you say NAP TIME?  LOL!

Renee didn't bring her supplies to make tags, but since she was sitting next to me and saw that my Alcohol Ink tops weren't color-coded, look what she did for me!  Thanks again Renee - that was just so nice of you.

This is a tag that one of Gen's friend's daughter made.  I asked her if she minded if I put it on my blog.  I hope she gets to see it here.  What a nice job she did, don't you think? . . .

Thanks again Genevieve (photo below) -  You were the perfect hostess and I had a wonderful time with you and all of your fabulous friends!    And I wasn't kidding about setting up a posole booth at the next RSC in Carson!  . . .  I'm just sayin' . . . *smiles*

Nap time instead of tag time? Sounds good to me, Ha!

Ok, how'd Renee get the tags or whatever to stay on top of the AI caps? I tried with mine & they've all come off.
Looks like you had a great time!

I read the trick somewhere and remembered when Tim told us about using alcohol inks on the pearl paint dabber....I hit the top of the bottles with the pearl paint, then a drop of alcohol ink and you're good to go.

Nice to meet you there, too!

OK, so when can Renee come to my house to do some instant "ta-dah" organizing? That's quite a collection of alcohol inks you have Ms. Sherry!

Sounds like a great afternoon, and now I'm suffering from AIE (alcohol ink envy). You have so many....and now they're color coded. Yep, severe case of AIE.
Eileen (the one from NY; I see you know more than one :)
