I Just Couldn't Wait (Tag #10)

As you read in my previous post, I'm going to Genevieve's tomorrow for a potluck and to get "inky".  Not sure how many tags I will get done, but I just couldn't wait.  I had to do at least ONE of the tags today.

Tag #10 seemed to be a tag I could do with the least amount of supplies to pull out, so that's the one I did.

I didn't have the sticky-back foil that Tim used, so I was going to use metal pipe repair tape.  Then I remembered that I had a roll of Ten Seconds Studio Aluminum in a box somewhere.

I found the box and the aluminum.  I had never even opened the tube.  Also in the box was the Metal Effects book by Cheryl Darrow that I purchased when I bought the aluminum.  I had written my name and the date in the book, and guess when I bought it? 2005!!  There were unopened templates along with all of the ball & cups, paper stump and foam mats in the box as well.  This just reminds me that I don't need to buy more stuff.  Well, until Tim's 12 new Distress inks are released.  LOL!

Anyway, here's my Tag #10 (above).  I spelled out the words Merry and Eggnog - I slanted one of the "R"'s like too much eggnog had been sipped!  I also added the #2 and #5 and a couple of stars.

I used different sizes of the Grungeboard letters since I only had one pack of each size and not enough R's and G's in any one pack.

Finished the tag by re-punching the hole and threading a green and red plaid ribbon through it.  I covered the back of the tag (forgot to take a photo) with a cream colored wallpaper with gold raised dots on it.  I like the backs of the tags to be "finished".  I don't have the Tiny Attacher, so I didn't do the staple thing that Tim did.

I'll do another one of these tags before the end of the month.  I wasn't all that thrilled with the way this one turned out.  Kinda rushed through it.  I'll take a little more time with the next one.

No time to do another tag tonight though.  Gotta make that chocolate, chocolate chip cake to take to Gen's tomorrow *smiles*.

Sherry, I think your tag is great! I love the words you chose. I was excited to do this one, but was unhappy with my results as well. I'm going to try it again...sometime. Can't wait to see your other tags!
