On Monday, October 26th, I worked the 2009 Women's Conference at the Convention Center in Long Beach for "the day job". We had a booth there for the Auto Club Driving School. And because I was working, sadly, I didn't get to really take in the whole experience of the conference. I did get to quickly walk up and down several of the isles when I took a break to get a $6 hotdog (these type of events really get you!)
Toward the end of the evening, this is what I saw from our booth walking around the Convention Center. They looked like life-size puppets to me. Pretty cool huh? . . .
Then on Wednesday, I checked my mailbox on the way to work (first day I started feeling sick), and this is what I received . . .
A beautiful laced handmade card was enclosed in a package wrapped in the most gorgeous paper! . . .
and then THIS! . . .
I was the winner of this Malediction Voodoo Heart shadow box artwork that was created by Tia over at Domestic Underground
This was the sample that Tia created for one of her on-line classes that you can sign up for HERE
PS I'm starting to feel a little better today, but I'm still taking it easy and drinking plenty of fluids. Thanks to all of you that have been sending me get well wishes!
