Fly me to the Moon

refreshments served before entering the event

Yesterday (Saturday, March 21st) was Paris to the Moon's Tour de Art event with Earth Angels featuring art by Debbee Thibault, Nicol Sayre, Laurie Meseroll, Dara DiMagno, Debrina Pratt, Jennifer Lanne and Nicole Bowen. This was a show of original art, accessories, mixed media, papier mache, altered art and decor.

I had so much fun hanging out with Linda, Carolyn, Barbara, Sharo, Anita and Sandy!

There was lots of eye candy at the event, but no one was allowed to take photographs of the artist's work that was on display. However, you can click on the links in the first paragraph of this blog post to view the artist's works of art.

I never bought the Where Women Create book when it hit the shelves. The author, Jo Packham was at the event yesterday, so I thought it was a great time to make the purchase. I can now add an autographed copy of this book to my ever-growing library of special books. Thank you Jo!

And just a "heads up", if you have the first Where Women Create magazine, hold onto it. Jo told me that all copies of that first issue have been sold out!

Other news . . . Carolyn Waitt will be teaching some upcoming classes at Paris to the Moon. Here are a couple of photos I took of the samples that were in the store.

Ooooooooh, I sure hope I'm available to take her Tin Litho bracelet class!! . . .

Doll for sale in the store . . .

After the event, we walked across the street and had lunch at a Mexican restaurant called Mi Casa.

I'm not a big fan of Mexican food, but they have really good chips and salsa. The margaritas are good too *smiles* . . .
The ladies wanted to see Linda Bucci's jewelry that she makes and sells, so after lunch we were invited back to her home.
Look at these gorgeous pieces she has made! . . .

You know, ever since I met Linda Bucci and we've been "hanging out" together, I find it hard to say good bye at the end of the day. Her husband, Bob was not home when we returned from the event and lunch, so the excuse (I gave myself) for hanging around was that I wanted to say hello.

Well, I ended up staying long enough for dinner to be served. Note to Linda and Bob: I promise this will not become a habit of mine! LOL Thanks for another wonderful evening at The Bucci's!

Post Script: I purchased the most WONDERFUL bird cage at the event yesterday. I haven't brought it inside yet, and it's raining right now, so I'll have to show you later on.

Let me play among the stars (Diana Krall version, not Frank's - Haha).

Sounds like a marvelous day. I made my way down there, all ready to say, "Hi!" but got sidetracked by Roger's Gardens Spring Open House (too fabulous, with great, and I do mean great, hors d'oeurvres, and Sprinkles (divine cupcakes, need I say more?), ran out of time (as I thought I might), and never made it to Paris to the Moon.

Looks like I missed wonderful things at Paris to the Moon (would have loved to tell Jo Packham how much I adore WWC, my copy is well worn), but ah well, I had fun too.

So glad you posted about it, at least I can live vicariously. ;-)

PS I have a Duke Ellington story for you too, I'll tell it to you when you get busy and create some more of your terrific Jazz series!
