LIFE LESSON - Part II

Remember the molding paste and bubble wrap part of my LIFE LESSON piece I was working on this past weekend? Remember how I was going to get my electric sander out and sand that whole bottom right hand corner off? I used a sheet of sandpaper instead, and then repainted the area.

And remember how the girl in my piece only had one wing? Well, she only had one wing, because her other wing was broken and had fallen to the ground.

The wing that she still wears, now has a Langston Hughes quote on it that reads: "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly"

The wing that is broken and laying at her feet (where the molding paste used to be!) has some of the lyrics from the song Broken Wing: "And with a broken wing she still sings. She keeps an eye on the sky. With a broken wing she carries her dreams. Man you ought to see her fly"

So here's how it's shaping up so far on the right side now . . .

I think I'm just about finished with this one. I'm happy I removed the molding paste :)
