I had a wonderful time today at the workshop! I didn't want to keep you in total suspense, so I'm posting some photos I snapped when I had the chance today.
Right now I'm in need of a nice hot shower and a good night's sleep, so this is going to be quick and to the point:
This is the room we worked in . . .
Notebooks Dede and Robbin made for each of us to keep our notes in . . .
This is Cindy showing us how to stamp on metal . . .
How to create a bezel . . .
Oooooooooh, using a professional torch . . .
some of Cindy's pieces for sale . . .
watching Cindy demo . . .
Carolyn Waitt working on her bezel . . .
I think this is Betsy's necklace in the design stages . . .
Cindy showing us how to make sterling silver jump rings with this really cool tool! . . .
The pickling station . . .
Lunch is served - yuuuuumy! . . .
Students (there were 30 of us!) watching and listening carefully. . .
Take those notes ladies! . . .
I don't have a photo of my bezel and necklace to show you yet. I can tell you that I was pleased with the results though *smiles*. The resin takes 24 hours to set, so I left my piece at Robbin's house. You'll have to wait until Sunday night or Monday morning to see the finished piece.
Next up . . . Old Bottle Secrets and Family Traditions Bracelet workshops on Sunday. Same place - Same time - 8 hours of learning and fun!
Nite Nite - xoxo Sherry
