Part 3, Finished and a Give-Away - YOU STILL HAVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT TONIGHT (FRIDAY)!!

Watered down the glaze and applied with a wet towel . . .

After the first coat, it just wasn't looking grungy enough for my taste, so I let the first coat dry and applied more glaze.

As mentioned in the previous post, I did the faux rust technique on the underside of the form. Well, I wasn't pleased at the outcome - nothing like my canvas sample board. So, I decided to stick with the grungy look (for now).

So, here she is! I would like to introduce you all to . . . oh no, I can't come up with a name for her . . .

Thought I would dress her up just a little more with one of my coffee filter roses. I made this one from used coffee filters, rather than the ones from new filters that are watercolored . . .

So since I haven't come up with a name yet, wanna help me? If so, and the following prize is something you might like to have, submit your choice for my manne's name - here on this post by this Friday, September 5th.

I will consult with my son (you know, the one that was using my mannequin as a hat rack!) on the winning name, and announce the winner bright and early Saturday morning.

Please be sure I have a way to contact you via e-mail if you are the winner!

This is the give-away prize: A paper mache mannequin I painted, collaged with pattern tissue and other papers, sealed with Diamond Glaze and then added a faux rust metal heart . . .

Love her! The rose is a nice finishing touch. For names, how about Aimee or Martine?

Rose, Busty LaRue Too, Claire, Aimee, Martine . . . nice! And by the way, you can enter more than one name if you'd like.

And so you'll get the joke, *I am very Mary* has a *manne* named Busty LaRue :-)

Rose is not enough, she is Miss Fine Brown Rose. Such a classy and sophisticated lady should always be addressed by her title! PS Thank you for inviting me and my germs and your music tastes are the best! Gina

So now we can add Miss Fine Brown Rose, Ms Mannie Mattie, Vera Vada, and Annabelle to the list.

And my friend Janice Golden e-mailed me with "Coco" after Coco Channel.

Hi, This is very hard, I came up with four names but the one that I like the best is Paloma. I can see her being named Pia Paloma. She looks really great, I bow to the artist. (Bowing and Hands clapping).

Hi Sherry, I think her name should be "Gracie" When I saw the jewelry, she reminded me of my mum when she got all gussied up in the late 50's. Brought back some wonderful memories of her when she was in her hey day!

OK, Sherry.... I have given this lots of thought, and I keep going back to the name I originally thought of when I first saw your completed manne. I think "Bella Rustique" fits this beauty perfectly. She is dressed up and vintagey (is that a word?) elegant, yet she has a bit of a rustic charm about her, too. "Bella Romantique" is another thought, but I know you aged her because you didn't want her to be too formal. ..."Bella Rustique" is my first thought!

You did such a great job with her! ♥ ~Melissa from Creative Elements
