Vacation - Day 13 (Thursday)

I can hardly believe how fast this vacation of mine is going - Good grief Charlie Brown! I still have lots of projects to finish - and START! What this tells me is that when I am able to retire, I sure won't ever be sitting around saying that I don't have anything to do.

At the *day job*, I used to teach a Mature Driver Improvement class to 55+ year olds. At the beginning of class I would ask who was retired. The majority of the people in my classes were retired. I would then go around the room and ask the retirees how long they had been retired, what they were doing, and how much were they enjoying their retirement.

In the 6+ years that I taught this class, there were only a handful of people that were retired that told me they wished they were still working. Still working?! Wow, how sad, I thought. When I would ask why they would rather be working, they told me that they were bored and didn't know what to do every day. Can you (even) imagine that?

I'm with you, retirement is great! I'm a retired SAHM, retired in that my kids are all grown and I have the freedom to spend my days as I please. It's great work if you can get it!!!

So glad you'll be join us for Cindy's workshop!

Here's how retirement works: When you get up in the morning you have nothing to do. When you go to bed at night you've only done half of it.
